Under The Covers SOLD OUT smash!

This past Monday marked the fifteenth edition of "Victoria Shaw: Under The Covers" in the past ten years of the Broadway at Birdland concert series That's a lot of really great music and insider stories told by some of country music's top hit-makers, superstars and up-and-comers.
This particular show was surrounded by lots of excitement, thanks to composer Shaw's brilliant cast: Erich Bergen, from the "Jersey Boys" film who sang from his new EP "Never Give Up," Desmond Child, who thrilled the crowd with his mega-hit "Livin' On A Prayer," James Dean Hicks, who sang and played a bunch of his No. 1 country songs, and this year''s Tony nominee from Les Miserables, Ramin Karimloo. Guitarist/singer Sergio Ortega lended musical excellence, and Victoria's two talented daughters, Ava and Ruby Locknar, got into the act, singing backup for one of their mom''s most beautiful tunes!

The evening was topped by an exquisitely harmonized, re-imagined bluegrass version of "Bring Him Home," Ramin''s 'eleven o''clock number' from LES MIZ. If the historic Birdland walls could talk, they'd brag about the thousands of spectacular jazz performances -- but they'd certainly give special mention to this perfect night of country.

Interview with Style Blueprint

Be sure to check out this great interview with Victoria Shaw on Style Blueprint’s website. It’s from December 2012, but it’s offers a great look into the songwriting industry and Nashville. Here’s an excerpt…

Victoria Shaw has definitely made her mark on the Nashville music scene. Her songs, collectively, have sold more than 65 million CD’s. She has written hits such as “The River” (Garth Brooks) and “Nobody Wants to be Lonely” (Ricky Martin, Christiana Aguilera), and co-wrote “I Love the Way You Love Me” (John Michael Montgomery). She was the co-producer of the debut album for Lady Antebellum with Paul Worley. She is also a singer in her own right, opening for Garth Brooks at his Central Park concert, and has just released a Christmas CD which everyone needs! [read more]

Victoria's first holiday album to be released

Just in time for the holidays, multi-award winning songwriter/producer Victoria Shaw presents her first Christmas cd FA LA LA.  "I have always enjoyed writing Christmas songs and one day realized I had enough music to fill an entire CD.”  FA LA LA includes some previously recorded songs like the Jim Brickman #1 hit, SENDING YOU A LITTLE CHRISTMAS, to brand new songs like THE VIRGIN'S LULLABY where Shaw recruited her friends Ty Herndon, Jimmy Wayne and Billy Dean to lend their beautiful voices. HLN's Robin Meade also joins Victoria on the fun filled, rockin' duet SANTA'S TOYRIDE.  Shaw did record one fun bonus track remake of THE CHIPMUNK SONG (CHRISTMAS DON'T BE LATE) with her two daughters lending some magical harmonies. This is truly a Christmas cd for the WHOLE family that you will want to play year after year.
